The waxy substance in the human body known as cholesterol is found primarily in two recognized forms, HDL and LDL. HDL, or high-density lipoprotein, is routinely spoken of as good cholesterol, while LDL, or low density lipoprotein, is the undesirable form of cholesterol.

As a result, a low level of HDL in your body will restrict this cleansing action and raise the risk of having a heart attack.

An additional factor which must be brought into this discussion is the formation of triglycerides, a kind of fat that is manufactured in your body and also found in food.
